StarWalks is a walking game: stars are scattered along real walkable paths around you, and you capture them by physically walking to them. This policy explains what the app does — and doesn't do — with your information. In short: your location and routes never leave your device, there is no account or sign-up, and there are no ads or third-party trackers.
Groups are an optional feature. If you create or join a group leaderboard, the app shares — through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) — only:
This lets other members of the same group see your daily totals on a leaderboard. Your location, your routes, and your map are never shared. Group data is associated with your iCloud account identifier so your scores stay attached to you. If you leave a group, your scores stop appearing on its leaderboard; if a group is deleted, its data is removed for everyone.
App data lives on your device (and, for group scores, in Apple's iCloud). Deleting the app removes its on-device data. To remove shared group data, leave the group from within the app. Health data is managed by you in the Apple Health app, where you can revoke the app's access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
StarWalks is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
